Craft NB | Board Features

This month we are featuring our board secretary – Heather McCaig!

Heather McCaig was raised in Toronto and London, Canada. In her early 20s she began growing roots with her husband, Nick McCaig, near Sussex, New Brunswick. A full time flameworked glassblower since 2013, she is entirely self-taught and is the forerunner of flameworked fine art in Atlantic Canada.

“I want the viewer to be immersed in the intricate glass sculpting details and reflect on how we are a part of nature, not above it. I hope to portray how fragile our world is and inspire a need for its protection.”

Happy to have you back for another year, Heather!

A Congratulations Is In Order!

Craft NB wants to send a huge congratulations to Events Coordinator Fatema Pagdiwala, and her family for officially becoming Canadian citizens!  Fatema and her family came to Canada in 2018 from Dubai and we are incredibly thankful that they did! If you haven’t met Fatema – she is truly a ray of sunshine in human form.  Canada is a better place with you in it, Fatema! Congrats!
If you want to congratulate Fatema, I’m sure she would love to receive an email from you at events@craftnb.ca!
