Job Description
Craft NB is looking to hire a professional, creative and driven individual as Content Creator & Marketing Assistant, starting June 19th. Get to know the inner-workings of a non-profit organization, gain valuable content marketing skills, conduct artist interviews and photoshoots, experience working in a professional, fast-paced environment, support fine craft and the cultural sector in New Brunswick, and have fun in a dynamic position!
The Content Creator & Marketing Assistant will:
- Plan and create marketing content for the organization
- Travel to artists’ studios to conduct interviews and photoshoots
- Help the Marketing Manager with creating and working on marketing initiatives
- Work with the Marketing Manager to maintain and update the CNB blog and social media platforms
- Collect content to be featured in the monthly e-newsletters (ie. local arts events, member activities)
- Work with committees as needed
- Brainstorm, problem solve and idea generate with the Craft NB team
- Provide assistance with the organization of the Craft NB Summer Festival in Fredericton NB
- Maintain office supplies and equipment and perform weekly housekeeping duties
Requirements:
- Strong photography and videography skills
- Strong photo and video editing skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro)
- Social media and web marketing experience
- Microsoft Office and computer skills
- Experience with WordPress
- Self-motivated and ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and as a team
- Experience in content creation and marketing for an organization
- Own transportation (for travelling to artists’ studios)
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Must have been registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year
- Must intend to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year
- Must be a student in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Must be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial regulations
Assets:
- Own laptop that can be brought to work
- Bilingualism and ability to translate
- Content development experience
- A genuine interest in the craft sector or a career in arts administration
- Google Adwords experience
- Experience with non-profits
